This year, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which is December 8 annually, falls on a Saturday. Unlike many Holy Days of Obligation in the United States, Immaculate Conception is not abrogated when it falls on a weekend because it is under this title that Mary is the Patroness of the United States. Therefore Catholics should make plans to attend Mass in honor of this important feast for our church in this country. For more information on how to fulfill this obligation as well as the obligation for the 2nd Sunday of Advent, please visit this link: https://nolacatholic.org/blog/feast-of-the-immaculate-conception-is-december-8
